Solenopsis Gayi
These are fire ants that can be found nesting with Camponotus Morosus. It is discovered that the C. Morosus were aggressive to other colonies, but not their own and Solenopsis Gayi.
This species of Solenopsis is polygynous, meaning that there can be multiple queens in one colony and they will tolerate each other.
These ants have castes. They have major workers, which cut the limbs of prey and help protect the nest if it is under attack. And then the workers that will help the majors, but also stay at the nest and take care of the large amounts of larvae and the queen(s)
They can be found in Chile and a few other places in South America. They haven't invaded very much, but that may change, as they are much like the Solenopsis Invicta that have invaded a part of North America.
It's probably a good idea to pre-kill their prey in their first year, but in the second year, they can reach numbers in the hundreds or thousands, that's when they would be able to beat live prey.
