Solenopsis Richteri
Solenopsis richteri is native to the areas of the Southern United States, some parts of Mexico, and their native area Argentina and a small part of Brazil. Solenopsis richteri usually nest in areas such as under stones, under logs, and fields. So we have tried to replicate this for this amazing species! The new grout Formicaria me, Andrew, and Justin are working on. The nest will be just perfect for Solenopsis species and other species. Just like any other good ‘ol Solenopsis, Solenopsis richteri are very aggressive and will sting and swarm their prey to death. They are invasive just like Solenopsis invicta and geminata. Their diet consists of sugary liquids such as honey, nectar, hummingbird nectar, sunburst, sugar water, and syrup. For protein they will take crickets, cockroaches, grasshoppers, mealworms, superworms, grubs, waxworms, and fruit flies. They are very fast growing and will need nests when they grow. They will also need big outworlds eventually. Their usual flight schedules are April-August. Sometimes Solenopsis Richteri cross-breed with Solenopsis invicta!
